My mom used to tell the story all the time. Someone on base brought her home. She was 2, it was below freezing, and she had fallen in a mud pit. She could have died! My kid can open childlocked doors, so uh...yeah. She finds them challenging. </p> <p>We have an alarm system and chimes on the doors, so even if it's off, something beeps/makes noises if a door or window is opened. It's both funny and a little terrifying. This four-year-old girl escaped her house at 3 a.m. and got on a bus in Philly, heading off to buy a slushie. Thank goodness the bus driver called for help.
