We've never told her explicit that Santa isn't real but I asked my 5 year old just last night (we were watching Storybots Christmas) and she said he isn't real, but then she also said something else later. This year at 5 she told me I know Santa is mom and dad. Idk, I've never pushed the Santa narrative but I've also never discounted it. I think kids are smart, other kids at school talk etc but I just didn't confirm or deny. I'd like to let her decide. He is speech delayed, so it's really hard to get a full grasp of what he understands.
