we have gotten the 4d u/s with both babies. our first baby didn't look like the 4d picture when he was first born, but after a couple of months, he definitely looked like the picture. we will have to wait and see if this second baby looks like her picture. we can't wait.

Best money I ever spent, loved it so much we had it done at 15 and 30 weeks. We'll see in a few weeks how he looks compared to the US- if we are able to post pics by then I definitely will.

We got a DVD video of the entire scan, I could not stop watching him. Great Christmas present for grandmas if you need an idea. Both absolutely loved the scans. We also got a CD with around 30 pics each time.

I definitely could see some of my and my husband's features in his face, and there was a huge difference in how much more of a baby he looked by 30 weeks.

Haha this cracks my up. When a friend of mine had her 4D the baby's face was pushed up against the side of her uterus and her husband SWORE the baby had a cleft lip. He was worried about it the whole rest of the pregnancy. I'm actually thinking about passing on the 4D even though my doc does them. I have a few friends who have been freaked out by it.

@artbee: haha, i don't think big noses run in our families. i actually have a small nose. my husband has a bigger nose, but i think it fits his face lol.

@mrsbells: darn - i wish they gave me an option of when i could get the 4d done. the tech just did it. didn't expect it... =(

I was told it was best to do 3D and 4D ultrasounds around week 26-32 to get good representation of how the baby will look in real life. So I guess at 22 weeks the baby still has some filling out to do

We just got ours this past weekend... 23wks.

And just remember that baby does alot of development in the face & filling out in the last trimester.

We knew that we were getting ours pretty early for a 4d but it was still pretty awesome!

Lol, do big noses run in the family? I really wouldn't worry about it. I'm sure your LO will have a perfectly cute little baby nose. And even if it is big, you'll think it's the most perfect big nose you've ever seen!

HAHAHAHA! I take it in your US pic your LO had a big nose?! They still have a lot of time to grow from 22 wks to birth, and they fill out more, so maybe your LO's nose won't be so big, and maybe it just looked big in the picture!

I didn't have a 4D but I had a 3D and my daughter did end up looking quite a bit like she did durring the ultrasound. She also had a quite large looking nose but it wasn't too big when she was born and she did eventually completely grow into it :)

got our 4d u/s today. unexpected. freaky, but cool.

1. for those who got it and have their child - do they look like their pic?

2. i'll love my babies no matter what lol - but just wondering - at 22 weeks, if they have humongous noses, will the noses stop growing so the faces catch up? or are they cursed with huge noses?
