Claire TOTALLY went through this, and it is the reason we decided to start sleep-training.

Here is some additional info on the 4-month sleep regression: http://www.babysleepsite.com/how-we-sleep/4-month-old-sleep-regression/

And here's how we sleep-trained: http://www.geekinheels.com/2011/02/25/sleep-training-how-we-did-it.html

RJ went through this... the culprit turned out to be teething! And every time he regressed due to teething or sickness, he always went back to great sleep within a week... so don't worry too much! just hang in there until it passes and know the end is near... :)

@KillerB: I think so because for the past week, my LO has been eating like a mother. Like, every hour. Serious. My friend, whose LO is 2 weeks older than mine, said she went through the same eating frenzy.

Is there a growth spurt that happens at this age? Just curious if that may have something to do with it too

He's on his belly once and then in the morning when he wakes he's on his belly, but not the other 3-4 times. Should I keep letting him cry or feed him, I can't decide.

I forgot what it was like to have a newborn, so glad that I got to wait until he was sleeping great before I went back to work!

My LO is 12weeks old today and her sleep sounds very much like your LO's and has been like this for 2 weeks. She hasn't rolled yet so I'm wondering what the heck is going on. I woud love to read suggestions as well.

4 month sleep regressions are completely normal, and being able to roll over is a big part of it. your lo is so busy practicing his new skill, his mind is hard at work and it's hard to sleep!

you can wait it out and his sleep will probably get better on its won. we were sleep training when charlie started rolling over onto his tummy, but we just continued with the sleep training.

is your lo on his tummy when he starts screaming?

My little one used to go to sleep at 8pm and get up around 7:15/7:30am since he was about 11wks old. He is 20wks tomorrow and all of a sudden he is waking up at 9:30, 11, 12:30 and 1 or 2. It's awful. I haven't been feeding him, he'll go back to sleep with the pacifier, but at around 1:00, I have had enough and give up and just feed him. He's seemed to have developed this scream when he cries at night. He used to just wake up and babble to himself in the morning and it was great, now it's torture. A few of the wakings (1 or 2) are because he's rolled himself to his belly (his new development last week), but the rest he's fine.

Any suggestions? I've tried letting him cry but after 10 minutes or so it's a scream. Anyone else experienced the same things? Suggestions?
