@lavender: Thanks, friend! I think we'll actually not try this month...we're going on vacation with a group of friends to Vegas in March and I'd rather not be pregnant while we're there!

Happy Friday everyone! My instinct was right, I'm definitely not pregnant. My period showed up this morning.

@MamaCate: I think we'll keep at the NTNP for awhile, and see where we end up! I am definitely interested in temping, so if we don't end up pregnant within a few months, I'll probably start doing it :) I'm not sure how far along you are now (or if you've already had the baby!), but congratulations on your BFP!

@Sophia: Any update?

Just as a note on the temping, I had the same concerns but just felt so confused not knowing what was going on that it helped me feel like i had more control. Not that temping was that much better, as fertility friend and i disagreed about when I had ovulated the next month. I didn't test until like CD35 because I was convinced it was the same thing again, but there was the BFP!

If NTNP is working for you I think it is less stressful.

Please keep us posted! I was crampy the day my period was due and felt like it was coming at any minute....but it never did. And now I feel absolutely nothing. I haven't re-tested. I'm going to hold out until tomorrow morning (14dpo).

@Sophia: i just wanted to offer my alternate experience. My third cycle off bc after consistent 28 day cycles, went 35 days. I kept thinking i was pregnant but kept getting negative tests until period showed up on cd35. This cycle convinced me to temp but i ended up with a bfp the next month! Good luck!

My guess is that you are having a lon cycle. I had 10 months of perfect 30 day cycles and then a freak one of 44 days. If you aren't temping, there's no way to know. It's possible that you are just checking too early.

I'm hesitant to talk to any friends or my mom and sister about it, so it's nice to have all of you! I'd like to keep it under wraps til I'm past the first trimester if I actually am pregnant.

@Mrs. Yoyo: Nothing too stressful going on, luckily! And no new workout routine, either. Life is actually pretty normal right now!

@LuLu Mom: @rachiecakes: I feel like this might happen more often than we think! Now that I've started looking into it, it seems like many don't get BFPs till a week or so after their missed periods. How weird!

Well I got 3 negatives up until 6 days after period (no idea what my O date was because I wasn't tracking) and I saw a very faint line (DH said he didn't see it). And then the next day it was a brighter line, so really didn't get a positive until day 7 after missed period and never got a positive on a digital!

Anything stressful going on, or have you started a new workout regimen or something? I think you'd see something right now by now if you really were pregnant. Of course, there's always the small chance you ovulated late.

Hi all - I'm sure many bees have posted either this exact question before, or have asked a similar question...so I apologize for that!

I'm currently 5 days late. I took a test this morning as soon as I got out of bed, and it was negative. We're talking 'there is absolutely not even the idea of a second line there' negative. I've been off BC since May, and we just started NTNP in January. Since I've been off BC, I have actually been more regular than I was while on it. I haven't been late once. If anything, I'm usually a day early.

So, I guess I'm wondering if any of you have tested around this time, had negative pregnancy tests...and still ended up with a BFP a few days later? I won't be heartbroken if I'm not pregnant, I was actually hoping it wouldn't happen until after March ;) I'm just more annoyed that my body is messing with me like this!
