@mrstilly: oh that sucks for you SIL! :( I was not sick post-partum, but I was while pregnant... don't know if the same things would work, but for me, the best things were carb heavy... smoothies, fruit, cereal, bagels w/ cream cheese, waffles, bread & butter, crackers, etc. - not exactally the most nutritious food, though I did put good stuff in the smoothies and did some whole grain stuff. I didn't have a problem with dairy, but maybe it's different pp.

@mrstilly: Oh the poor thing! :( I'm sorry she's having to go through this, I'm so glad you're there and care enough to help though!!

Look for protein rich foods, but avoid dairy. Dairy is going to upset her tummy even more. Anything with fruits & veggies. Smoothies w/o yogurt (just fruit, fruit juice, ice etc).

Good luck!!!!!

Does a smoothie sound good to her? A fruit smoothie with a protein powder added would be great for her about now.

My SIL had her little girl via C-section 6 days ago. She hasn't been able to keep food down for the last 2 to 3 days and is getting very anxious about her milk supply. I wanted to go to the store and get some snacks or foods that might sit well with her.

Any suggestions from moms who had similar experience?

She doesn't like oatmeal and anything that is hot doesn't sit well right now. I would love to find some healthy, calorie rich foods that are ready to eat. Any suggestions?
