@illumina: I took an HPT on my second day of Clomid (CD6, 10 days ago) and it was negative... so I'm pretty sure?

@pui: I have no experience with clomid so my point might be completely irrelevant, only I noticed your thread and thought I'd comment... are you absolutely sure you could not already be pregnant? Only I couldn't figure out why I was getting +OPKs every day at the end of my cycle until I read that it can indicate a +HCG reading as well.

Your doctor should be able to do the blood test and ultrasound for you. I would definitely contact your doctor!

Okay just got another very strong positive OPK where the test line is again darker than the control one. What is going on here?

I think you started testing too early. Like @Shutterbug said, it should make you ovulate around 7 days after your last pill. For me, it was CD 15.

I would encourage being monitored. They'll do a blood test for hormone levels and make sure it hasn't thinned out your uterine lining, a common side effect.

Here's my theory - maybe the first three were false positives from the Clomid, and the last two are real positives. If I'm right, you should get a negative tomorrow. FWIW, Clomid is supposed to make you ovulate roughly 7 days after the last pill.

If I were you, I'd call my doctor tomorrow to ask. Maybe they can order some bloodwork to see if you've ovulated or are ready to ovulate.

@swedishfish: No...

I should say that technically I am on CD100+ (I've lost count), but my doctor told me to consider the day I started Clomid to be CD5.

I took Clomid from cycle day 55 - 59 but I didn't get positive OPKs till cycle days 68 and 69. I don't have much experience with Clomid other than my one cycle. Is your doctor monitoring you with ultrasounds and bloodwork?

I took Clomid CD5-CD9. On CD10, 11 & 12 I had positives OPKs. Yesterday (CD13) and today (CD14) I also had positives.

These have all been very obvious positives, with most of the test lines being darker than the control lines.

I have heard that Clomid can cause false positives up to 3 days after the last pill, but 5 in a row?

Also I have been checked for PCOS (blood test & ultrasound) and it has been determined I do not have it.

When will I ovulate? Is this normal?

Here is my chart: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/pui
