I don't think as a kid you even realize how much it means to your parent. But that would mean so much to me as a mother to do that with my kid! Ever since starting nursing school, I've wanted to do a medical mission trip - of course that won't be feasible anytime in the near future, but by the time he's in high school I'd love something like that, and to share that with him.</p> <p>Oh! Actually, when I was 5, we did a family trip to Mexico. And I definitely remember it vividly. I remember visiting kids who lived "in the dump", as we called it. I remember handing them clothes and money and how excited they were, and it was such a foreign concept to me.
