I've lived in Canada my whole life and am used to cold, but it's a whole other level of cold. I would never make the trip with them, wouldn't be able to leave them behind, and couldn't afford it on one salary anyway. I had no idea until I took a boat for the first time that I get TERRIBLY sick. </p> <p>Another place that might be fun for kids your age is Great Wolf Lodge - the big indoor water park resort. There's one in MA and one in the Poconos in PA that are both driveable from upstate NY. The rooms come with microwaves and fridges, so you may be able to save money by making sandwiches and heating things up for breakfast and lunch.
