My 8 w/o has been fussy every night between 5-8pm for the past week! I think it's a combo of being tired/overstimulated.

We experienced what I called constant 'low level fussiness' during weeks 7-9. LO was just grumpy all day but never screamed or anything. Now he is happy as a clam when he's awake until it's time for his next nap.

We're having some of this issue w/ our 7-week old as well. She definitely gets overstimulated and overtired, and then has a meltdown. Things tend to get progressively worse throughout the day if she hasn't napped enough early in the day, so I try to be really vigilant about looking for her sleepy cues, and I *try* to get her down for naps before she becomes overstimulated. Of course, this is way easier said than done. When she really starts approaching meltdown mode, my final course of action is to drop everything, rock her in my arms facing in towards my belly, so she doesn't have anything visually stimulating to look at, and I give her a binky. She eventually calms down after 10 minutes or so... but sometimes it takes longer.

My LO had a mean growth spurt around 6 weeks and was cluster feeding for about a week. Also, my baby is inconsolable when I eat onions, apparently, they make him SUPER gassy and he gets M.A.D.!!!

Other than that, I hope your LO isn't coming down with a bug of some sort. Hope she cheers up soon!!

LO is currently 7 weeks old and is going through this phase (at least I hope it's a phase.) She just seems to want to cry and throw tantrums a lot. There are times when she will just scream for long periods of time and I can't her her to stop. Mostly, I think it's when she gets tired but she is too distracted by her meltdown to sleep. She is normally such a laid-back baby and she still spends quite a bit of time alert and quiet and just hanging out but then 2 seconds later she will be all worked up again.

I have read that she is likely going through the 6-8 phase and it should be getting better pretty soon. Did you LO go through this too? When did it end?

Please, please, tell me this will be over soon. I'm afraid to leave my house right now because she loves to have meltdowns in public. :(
