I searched for so many threads on the growth spurts, but couldn't find out when things seemed to improve for people!</p> <p>I guess the fussiness started at 5 and a half weeks and by yesterday, a day over 7wks, I noticed she was feeding a little less frequently and I was able to put her down in the swing for a while and get her to take a good nap in her Moses basket. She definitely gets overstimulated easily and as you know, has a lot of difficulty sleeping. But the good days keep getting so much better. </p> <p>She had some stomach issues for a few weeks starting around week 8, which is why she was so fussy I think. M was awful weeks 5-9. I couldn't put her down EVER or she screamed. It was really really difficult. Awful! I would be very surprised if the super fussiness lasts much longer, though - you're almost out the other side. You should then get your happy baby back until around 12 weeks, if the books are to be believed. It was insanity and I wondered what had happened to my little baby. I had my post-op appointment that week and I was a blubbering mess. My OB reassured me that about 7 weeks was the peak of the crazy and that it would subside. He was right, it did.</p> <p>For me, 6-8 weeks were the hardest, 8-12 were significantly more bearable, and from 12+ weeks on we had a nice little groove going. She had a horrible time around 5-6 weeks and right before she started daycare at 8 weeks (like, I was dreading taking her because I figured the daycare ladies would hand her right back :p) but right around 8ish weeks she turned a corner and is so much more fun now. I thought we had got lucky with this baby (I mean, we are lucky to have her regardless- but you know), and now I dot know what happened! Was ther anything you did that helped? Sometimes S gets tired really easy- ie she'll usually be yawning 30mins after waking and often she'll wake up from a nap, feed and nap again straight away! Things got gradually better from then to four months but I think dd was a pretty fussy newborn after the first month. She overstimulated really easily. That's why I always feel confused when people say "the first month/x weeks/whatever was the hardest." Our first week was hard but the first month overall was not bad! It was the second third and fourth months that were hardest, especially the 2nd and 3rd. If you had what you thought was a relatively easy first month and encountered super fussiness around this time, how soon did things start to get better? </p> <p>Things were starting to get good with S at around 4-5wks and then a week and a half ago it was like someone flicked a switch and she woke up a different baby. Lots of crying and general fussing every single day. </p> <p>She's 7wks now. Please tell me this gets better soon! </p>
