I got a b toys zoo cube for my LO at 6 months and it was the perfect age. She could play with the side activities but was also motivated to stand and get to the activities on top. We got it free (curbside from a neighbour) I call it the poop maker. We have an Exersaucer but since about 8 months LO actually plays with it more from the outside! It's helpf if we need to keep her contained for a few minutes while going to the bathroom or something but overall she really wants to be crawling and moving around. We did have an exersaucer, but mostly just so I had a safe place to put her when I needed to be in the kitchen and didn't want to worry about her brother being too rough with her. He played with loose toys on the floor or in the PNP at 6 months. He had learned to roll well already and by 6.5 months he was sitting really well. I didn't want to buy another huge piece of gear, plus some say it's not good for babies to be stuck in that position. I say don't feel like you have to get either. We have high doorways so a standard jumper wouldn't work for us. But, I have used second hand jumpers and the baby Einstein jumper I did not like. The seat was too deep and the spring was too hard so he could r get a good jump in it. Those things are so big that I'd easily lend mine out to whoever just to get a break from them in my house (between babies). I also got both as hand-me-downs, and agree with prior poster that you won't get a ton more use. Any suggestions? A doorway jumper? What's worth it? Help! </p>
