She did a quick internal exam with her fingers to make sure the uterus had gone back down, visually checked the area, and we discussed birth control options. I had an episiotomy as well, not the most comfortable thing in the world- but I got through it. I was given the all clear for sex and exercise. I just had mine on Monday. Had my Mirena placed and was told all was healed and I could start having sex again if I felt up for it. But honestly, I didn't feel a thing and I had 3rd degree tears. She was in and out before I knew it, and we talked about sex and BC. Surprisingly, it really didn't hurt at all. I also asked the nurse practitioner to check if I had any rib separation, which I didn't.
