Thanks for all the reassurance. My scan is next Monday. Everything seems to be well today, it was just really odd.

this happened to me around 7-8w--woke up with excruciating, period-like cramping in the middle of the night, and it REALLY scared me. just like you, no bleeding and it went away after about 15 minutes. it was *very* different than the light pulling-stretching cramping I got almost every day in the first tri. I told my OB about the incident at my scan a few days later and she said the fetus looked fine so she wasn't concerned, and it only ever happened to me that one time. hope you're done with it, too

My first pregnancy I remember waking in the middle of the night twice with really bad cramps that only lasted 10-15 min, then that was it for the most part except for some dull cramping on & off. All was OK!

I know you're in Canada so healthcare protocols are a bit different, but could you get betas or an early ultrasound since there's a history of loss? I'm NOT saying this will be a loss, I just think it might help your peace of mind.

Is this normal?

I was awakened last night by really bad cramps. I ran to the bathroom and sat for a few minutes. Nothing. I lay down and after about 15 minutes, it went away. I was generally reeeeally uncomfortable with waves of cramps through the night. Also bad back aches (but I have a retroverted uterus, so I don't know if that's related).

They seemed to have stopped this morning but I'm super nauseous. I know cramps are common and normal during early pregnancy, but is it normal when it wakes you up?!
