I was the same way... before baby and when I came back on maternity leave. I think it's my own way of trying to "make up" for being gone 3+ months. Totally unnecessary, but I think it's just part of my nature/career oriented mindset. It's finding the balance that's key. I think it's good to have other interests in life besides babies... good for you. It's probably a bit of both, trying to overcompensate and not needing to think about babies 24/7. How long are you taking off work? Or does the business plan mean you'll be working from home after baby?
