@SweetiePie: Yep, I know. We don't bring any gear with us any more (car seat, sometimes, depending on where we are going) but I still have to pack so much stuff!

I let my son pack his own carryon and I do say he actually puts thought into what he has in there (mostly toys). He wheels it through the airport and makes so many friends while doing it!

@looch: ugh. Toys, books, diapers, sippy cups, milk and snacks. So. Much. Suitcase. Real estate.
Stroller, car seat, sound machine, monitor...lovey, sleep sack....it just feels never ending. And you try to cut down the list but like...you need all of it!

I also can't wait till he can walk through the airport and roll his own suitcase :silly:

ETA: and even our carry on for him...brutal. It's a 12 hour flight with a toddler. I feel like I need all the snacks and all the toys.

@SweetiePie: YES on the toys! We just went on vacation and at least 1/2 of a suitcase was toys and activities for my son. He's just not the kind of kid that can entertain himself with household items for an extended period of time.

We had weather like that this afternoon. Of course, it's supposed to snow in two days here, haha. We were at a nature preserve this afternoon and the kids were in long pants, t-shirts, and hoodies. They were warm by the time we were leaving and the temp in my car said 68 degrees. It still is cool in the evenings when we have 70 degree high, so they needed light fleece jackets while playing outside before bed.

@SweetiePie: Oh, for me, right now I'm wearing pants or leggings with long sleeve tops, or short sleeve tunics with loose open cardigans. Sandals are working just fine for me, but mornings and evenings I might need a light jacket.

@simplyfelicity: @snowjewelz: @deerylou: @Mrs. Pickle: @gingerbebe:
Thank you! My plan for myself has been jeans and short sleeves/tanks with a sweater I can tie around my waist if its hot...or a leather/denim jacket. Packing a dress and a pair of shorts in case it gets too warm for pants later in day.

For LO I was thinking breathable cotton/jersey pants (like sweats but not really warm, if that makes sense) or jeans, t-shirts and zip up hoodies. Packing 1 or 2 shorts.

Sound OK? This is the kind of weather that makes me want to pack my entire closet because I just don't know what to bring.

ETA: also, we will be at the beach and hotel has a pool..but sounds like its too cold to swim. But he could still play in the sand in sweats/t-shirt?

DS is wearing pants and a t-shirt for the most part, while carrying a lightweight cardigan or jacket in the diaper bag. For daycare, he's been wearing lightweight cotton/jersey pants and cotton t-shirts during the day if the weather is going to hit 70. If its going to stay in the 60s, he wears a long-sleeve cotton top. We always send a light fleece jacket or a fleece vest in his diaper bag that they put him in if it gets a little colder.

@simplyfelicity: Ok, so 60-70 you probably want to have legs and arms covered, just not heavy?
I don't know why I'm having a hard time imagining this. If it was 80 I would just know "that's warm". But this temp is throwing me because its not hot but not cold.

I'm wearing jeans and light weight long sleeves. In the afternoon I usually wish I was wearing short sleeves.

DD is pretty hot natured so she's been wearing dresses with leggings underneath. It was cooler this morning so I put her in a sweater dress and now it's too warm for it.

If you're going to be outside in the morning and again in the afternoon I would pack some layers.

67 degrees here, today. I am wearing jeans, a light cotton button up tunic thing (with the sleeves rolled up) and converse. LO is in jeggings, a 3/4 sleeve blouse and sneakers. Sweaters are always packed, in case!

We're in a seaside town, so we've got an ocean breeze. Makes things a little more chilly at 67 than it would be, inland. Once it hits the low 70's, we wear dresses w/cardigans and sandals.

It's pretty cold in NY today and I'm having trouble imagining what to pack for our trip to a 60-70 degree climate. Those are the highs. 50-60 at night.
Is anyone in this climate/temp right now? What are you and/or LOs wearing?
