I think they speed up quite a bit each day right after they start. My daughter's was 129 at 6w4d, and she's a happy, healthy 1-yr old now. :)

I feel like with our recent pregnancy it was 110 or so at 6+3/4 and I thought it was low. He's here in my arms.

Mine was 92 at 6w1d, and I was bleeding. That gave me a 50% chance of miscarriage. That baby is two next week. 118 is perfectly fine.

I think you have to decide whether or not you want to trust your doctor, or Google. Also whether you want to continue for the next 9 months with the level of anxiety and stress you have had so far - it doesn't seem sustainable or enjoyable. I hope you can't find a way to feel more empowered soon

At my six week ultrasound they told me that if they could even pick up a heartbeat, anything over 90 is good. I think your pregnancy will be a lot more enjoyable/less stressful if you trust your medical professionals and resist the urge to google!

At 6+3 my baby was measuring 6 wks exactly and the heartbeat was detectable as a flicker but I wasn't given a number I had a follow up at 6+6 due to bleeding and the baby measured 6+4 with a heart rate of 125. I am currently 20wks.

@PawPrints: I actually found that when I did a search and was so relieved when I saw that your baby was healthy. I actually have no idea what my daughter's was at this point. In fact, I think my first ultrasound with her was 7 weeks, so I wouldn't be able to compare anyway. My doctor probably thinks I'm insane for calling back to make sure. They haven't returned my call yet. I'm one of *those* patients!

During my first pregnancy, I got an ultrasound at 6w1d and the heartrate was 109. I got a comment back on the report that said something like "it's curious that the heartbeat is so low" but that they weren't concerned. I was NOT HAPPY and did a ton of googling and found out it's totally normal. DD is two years old now.

Take your heart rate now and in 5 minutes. The variability might surprise you. 118 is practically 120. Try not to worry. And going forward if you think you might be a worrier, trust your Ob, try to stay off Dr Google unless absolutely necessary. Every hiccup, cramp, twinge, kick according to google "means" you have some horrible disease or baby has XYZ. It will add so much unecessary stress to your life. It's a black hole.

I also had a very low number for that first appointment--I think it was the low 120s. I asked if I should be worried that it was slow, and my OB explained that it varies pretty wildly even from minute to minute with the same baby. Try to stay cool and be reassured that your doctor is unconcerned

I know it's hard not to worry, but I think that it totally fine! A lot of times at 6w mark, it can be hard for them to even measure the heartbeat. I know for my first, I went at 6w1 day and it was too small to measure and he is now a crazy 4 year old.
Congratulations!

Mine was 118 today. Doctor said that was "excellent." However, I Googled and I have found a few things saying over 120 is good. Now I'm worried. What was yours around this point?
