@ldh112: It scared the living daylights out of me the first time it happened at 5 months-ish - he's usually a fantastic sleeper, of the just-lay-him-down-and-he-puts-himself-to-sleep variety. I called the pediatrician the next day, and she basically told me baby sleep is weird and it'll be fine. :)

@raspberries: Yes, I suppose I try to psycho-analyze her at times. :) it just is so out of character, to cry off and on like she is currently. Maybe it's teething or just a weird night!

My LO is 6.5 months old, and he just does this sometimes - no rhyme or reason. (Sorry, I know that's not very helpful... but the good news is that just because he does it one night, doesn't mean he'll do it again the next!)

All of a sudden my usually easy-to-lay-down baby was a disaster tonight. Crying when laid down, even with a pacifier. I'd pick her up, rock her, try again... fail. I am currently holding her asleep. What the heck? I am reading it's near a "leap" (I casually look at the Wonder Week app). She is almost over a cold but is breathing fine... No teeth yet... I may feel something up top but she's fighting me pretty hard so I can't tell.
