@MrsMom: it's very possible. I guess I shouldn't worry, if she's hungry she will fuss for it, right??
@lindseykaye: still slow flow b/c I'm still nursing. I don't think I want to change that so she doesn't get cranky with my boobs...
@crazydoglady: we did notice she is starting to push up onto her lower legs into the crawling position (not rocking yet) but this is new.
@muffinsmuffins: yeahhhh this is my worry with faster flow nipples!!

I have a 6 month old and he's been "wimpy" at the boob lately too. My other son did this as well. I know they need real "food" which he loves but I feel like it's making him nurse less and it's affecting my supply.
Can you space out feedings more maybe? I do feel like this is a phase.
Try a 3 or 4 (fast flow) nipple too.

@lindseykaye: this also happened to us twice. First time around 6/7 months and just recently again at 10 months: nipple flow solved it. It drove us nuts because he would just outright refuse and he was so damn distracted at 7 months. It was one of the reasons DW stopped nursing him because once we changed the flow on the bottle, he wouldn’t nurse properly for like 2 weeks straight and ain’t nobody got time for that. She pumped for a bit but then we switched to formula and has been fine and he’s on the faster flow now.

Any new milestones? I found that my kids aren't interested in food as much when they are developing new skills.

What size bottle nipples are you using? I can't give any feedback on the nursing since we stopped BF this time around a while back, but we did move up to medium flow nipples for her bottles not long ago (A is also 7 months) and that's helped her feeds a lot. She was getting really distracted (still is) but I think it was also frustration that the milk wasn't coming faster leading to getting bored/distracted and therefore was seemingly not interested in her bottle.
She dribbles more now with the medium flow but eats more intentionally and faster.

I don't have any advise, but can relate to the inconsistency. Levi is 7 months and doesn't nurse regularly when I'm home and seems to get distracted while i'm trying to nurse. It seems like he would just rather be playing than sitting still. He usually will take the bottle ok, but he's just now getting interested in eating real food (We've been trying and he would just lock his lips).

My DS1 went through a phase when it's hot that he wouldn't drink as much. So maybe that's part of it?

Little R is 7 months old and her eating habits have been changing. She used to chug her bottles (weekdays when I'm at work) and breastfed like a champ. Now she's refusing more than a few ounces in a bottle and sometimes (like first thing in the morning) ignores my offered breast.

She's eating some regular food (most ends up on her/in the dog's belly) and wakes 1-2x/night still and will eat then, but not consistently.

Is this considered a bottle strike? A phase she is going through? Suggestions?
