@zippylef: My LO slept from 10-4 for the first two weeks. 10-5/6 for about a month and ever since, has slept from 9-6! Mine is 3 months now, and has pretty much always slept thru, even during growth spurts. Fingers crossed yours stays this way! (And mine too!) Sometimes he'll stir around 3/4 am but I'll put a paci in his mouth and turn on his seahorse music and he goes right back to sleep! :)

Lala slept through the night from about 5 weeks to about 4 months. Then she started waking up like crazy. I think part of it is that her set point is just to be a really light sleeper and part of it is that we did everything wrong with respect to sleep!

Whether it's temporary or forever, just enjoy it! You deserve it!

@sarbear: LO hit her first growth spurt around then and the crabbiness didn't really stop. She's going through the peak phase of her fussiness now. :/ God, I hope it ends soon.

Well, she did 2 night in a row of sleeping and then didn't last night. She slept 7:15-3:30 and then I don't know what time she fell back asleep because she was being a butthead and I finally tossed her in the swing downstairs and passed out on the couch. When I woke up, she was asleep. She slept until like 7. Not too bad, I guess. It would have been fine if she would have gone back to sleep when she did wake up.

I think last night was an issue of temperature. Houses in the UK don't have AC and it's been pretty warm the past few days.

he was sleeping ok...then he hit 3 weeks old(or a couple days after) and it went to crap! he was sleeping from 9:30 10ish until 3-4 and then for another 4-5 hours after i fed him then...now he barely wants to sleep during the day and gets up every 2 1/2-3 1/2 hours during the night. i want my little boy back lol i'm hoping it's just a growth spurt that is making a vicious eater and crab monster

My 8 w/o has been sleeping throughout the night for the past two weeks from 9p-6a. Sometimes she'll wake once during the night but mostly has been sleeping without waking.

She will also take about 3 3 hr naps.

wow.
We are having major sleep issues this week so I'm sooo jealous.
She refuses to nap during the day and is sleeping decently at night. Usually it's a struggle to get her to sleep between 930-100am. She'll go down at about 730 wake up at 930 then want to play till 1am. Then wake up every 2 hours. Then around 5/6 gets really fussy.

I hope it's just a phase and not the beginnings of a colicky baby...

So jealous!! My 3 month old isn't at 10 hours yet and we are the sleep police around here (as in we are super diligent about putting him down for naps within certain wake times and when he goes to bed)!!!

I've read that as long as you're teaching your baby independent sleep at an early age the sleep regressions won't be as horrific. In the meantime, enjoy your sleep!!!!

Lucky! It can continue! Babies do have sleep regressions though. Usually around 4 months when they start flipping over.

Woo! I was hoping I'd hear from others that had babies this young sleep like this. I really hopes she keeps it up.

My LO started sleeping 12 hours at 2 1/2 months and only wakes up maybe once every couple of months in the middle of the night, if that.

it could continue, and it could very likely all go to crap around 3.5 months for a while. I do think that it's a good sign of being a generally good sleeper though!

Lo will be 8 weeks on Tuesday. For the past 2 nights, she has slept from 7:30-8pm until about 5-5:30am! I think it's because she has stopped napping so much through the day. She's always been a pretty good sleeper. She started going to bed at 7-8 and sleeping for 5-7 hours at a time at 2 1/2 weeks old.

Experienced moms, do you think this might be a fluke or can I expect this to continue?
