I wouldn't worry as long as she keeps making diapers. Had it been colder outside with dry heat inside? This is also sometimes a thirsty versus hungry thing - since the foremilk is most watery they just want the bit at the start.

Pretty normal and probably a way of continuing to build supply! You could always try comforting LO without the boob and see how you go?

LO 2 was the same way. She started nursing for longer sessions after 6 weeks. I tried to get her to nurse longer before that and she always threw up on me!

I am not sure if this is just normal or if I should do something to stop this behavior. My seven week old does pretty well with nursing but in the afternoons for the past few days she has been preferring to nurse frequently but for just a few minutes on one side and then she falls asleep. All the usual tricks to wake her aren't working.

I think in the last 4.5 hours I have fed her 5 times. I don't mind but only one has been even one full side. I am not at all worried about the amount of milk I have and she is gaining weight beautifully but I have no clue if this is normal behavior. Any thoughts?
