I agree with Ms. Sk.. I don't think it's a big worry, and probably just a short-term phase until she gets interested again. Just a shot in the dark here, but maybe when she got sick she started associating the solids with pain or discomfort?

We're going through the same thing. She will eat from my plate/fork occasionally, and will sometimes eat from a pouch. She will always eat Cheerios or puffs, but I can't imagine they're totally healthy.

I think they say that before one, food is just for fun anyhow. We've been nursing on demand. Unfortunately, I think that's all we can do!

I think she can sense my frustration. So I am trying not to push it when she refuses to eat.
Gosh, I wish she would eat more so that I can figure out how to night wean her. I go back to work soon and at the moment she is waking something like 6 times a night. Ugh.

Just keep offering. It is extremely rare that a baby will let themselves starve.
Try not to stress during meal times and nursing sessions. If she feels your stress she may be less likely to eat.

I would just keep nursing, nursing, nursing. My opnion is solids before 1 are just for fun! Try nursing in a dark room, outside, in a place she doesn't normally nurse, the bath, etc. By this age she is getting more than you realize even with a few seconds of nursing. If you have some pumped milk try making milk popsicles. You could also try increasing skin to skin. The twins and I would hang out in bed when I got home from work in their diapers only and me with my nursing tank undone. A little here/there helps.

Hoping to get some advice here about this. Lo had a tummy bug/ a slight fever about 3 weeks ago, and she stopped eating her solids at that time. She was fine with eating solids a couple of times a day prior to the stomach bug. However, since then, she pretty much refuses to be spoon fed. She will on rare occasions allow us to hand feed her a few mouthfuls of whatever we are eating. And every now and then she will let us help her feed herself a squeezy pouch of something.

She can go 2-3 days without touching any solids. She doesn't want the usual finger foods either. She will nurse to sleep but if I try and nurse her before she is tired and ready for a nap or bedtime, she is way too distracted to eat and will act like I am torturing her with my boob.

She seems happy and all, she has enough wet nappies, etc. But I am just wondering if she is getting enough calories. She feeds a ton throughout the night though, and will scream bloody murder if I try to just rock her back to sleep without nursing when she wakes.

I am so confused. I thought once babies start solids, they just fo on from there.

Anything I can do to help her start eating solids again?
