Alright, you have all convinced me! Assuming he doesn't take his later nap today at daycare again, it'll be an early bedtime for Xander!

I would do an earlier bedtime and see how he does. My LO always surprises me when I put him down early, he wakes at the same time as if he went to bed later.

I would just do an earlier bedtime as well. Cs bedtime was 6 until she was about a year old.

@hilsy85: Do you think that if I did that, he'll just end up waking up earlier in the morning? Because I don't really want that either, haha...

I would definitely try moving up his bedtime to avoid the whole wakeup/put back to sleep thing.

On a good day, Xander takes a nap late in the afternoon and I'm able to nurse him between 5:00 and 6:00, do solids shortly after, and then do bedtime routine so that he's in bed by 7:30.

But, more often than not, Xander doesn't take his late afternoon nap at daycare, and we get home around 5:30 and he's tired. I've been opting to put him down for a nap, wake him at 6:30 to nurse and then do bedtime routine and put him back to bed, skipping solids. But LATELY, he's been PISSED to be woken up to eat at 6:30. He's fine when I'm actually nursing him, but as soon as he's done eating, he starts crying hysterically and it takes a while to settle him back down to sleep. I've tried both changing his diaper before and after nursing, but nothing works. He's sooooooo mad!

So... what should I do? Should I nurse him as soon as we get home from daycare and then just do a really early bedtime (6:00 instead of 7:00)? Any advice? The hysterical crying is making me want to cry hysterically!
