@brady80: My LO is 9 months old, and has very little interest in smooth purees anymore (though he also loves yogurt!) He really only wants finger foods. I try to feed him soft versions of whatever I'm eating.

He loves cooked carrots, pasta, green beans, peaches, cooked apples, baked chicken, chicken noodle soup (everything is already mushy and ready for him to eat). I cut up everything into little pieces. He also really loves those little freeze dried yogurt puffs. In the mornings I'll feed him a bit of oatmeal as well. It's messy, but he takes handfuls of it and feeds himself!

The purees he WILL eat are the stage 3 Gerber or Earth's Best meals. They have bigger chunks of veggies and pasta, which he likes.

I would try finger foods.

I also wouldn't push solids so it doesn't turn her off completely. She will come around eventually.

9 months is a pretty typical time for them to stop being really into purees and being more about finger foods! My LO is 9 months and she stopped eating altogether - back to bfing like a newborn! Apparently that's normal too!

Is she teething? Are FF or BF? Applesauce maybe? More finger foods like sliced pears or broccoli and steamed carrots?

My 9 month old was a champion eater from day one. She has liked every puree I have made. Last week she started pushing the spoon away after a few bites. She is very interested in feeding herself, so I usually give her some finger food and then a puree. Last night when I fed her she gagged on the puree but then happily ate blueberries. Is she over purees? I feel like it isn't a texture because she happily eats yogurt. I worry that she won't get enough to eat if she feeds herself because half of it ends up on the floor. Any thoughts on food I can try?
