I can get my job done in less hours by being more efficient and I wouldn't have to spend as much time in traffic, plus we would have more time together in the afternoons/evenings.</p> <p>Seriously, if I leave at 4:45 every day, I get home by 5:30. But if I leave at 5:00 (like I have to), I don't get home until 6:00 or 6:15. I try to work as efficiently as possible and my current work load doesn't account for 40 hours a week. And scheduling meetings is a nightmare. I think I could get my work done in that timeframe. Fortunately, I do have a job where they aren't clock watchers and your run your own schedule. Most days I tend to work 7.5 hours and work through lunch so I'm leaving the office by 4. (My work is more based on billing to client than completing a certain number of tasks). But if I was allowed to bill 6 hours/day? I think it would be AMAZING. They received such better care. They are definitely on to something.<br /> I remember when the teachers of my state were on furlough because of pay issues and we had NO Fridays for awhile. That was our best testing performance year in a loooong time. Everyone, even teachers, needed a little break.
