@septca: @SleepyMonkey: Thanks! That is what I think I was planning on doing but I have a feeling I will be tempted to nurse during the day too out of convenience. I think consistency sounds like a good plan!

@Corduroy: Me too - the whole weaning thing is confusing but I am SO SO SO excited to not pump!

That's not a dumb question. I'm wondering the same thing. LO is a year this week and I'm ready to be done with this pump.

Consistency was really important for my boob-loving child, so I stopped nursing during the day period. She started drinking WCM and eating more food during the day (we day weaned at 12 months), so I just nursed at wake up and bedtime, regardless of the day.

not dumb! weaning was so confusing to me in the beginning. i just kept it consistent on the weekends, only nursing in the morning and at night, replacing the feedings during the day with milk or a snack.

If you weaned during the day (not pumping at work in my situation) but nursed in the morning or evening (which I am planning on doing for a bit) what do you do on the weekends?

Keep it consistent by not nursing during the day? I am planning to stop pumping this week but I didn't really consider what I am going to do on the weekends.

My main goals with weaning at this point is to stop pumping - I don't mind nursing for awhile longer but I'm not planning on sending breastmilk in bottles when I'm away from him anymore.
