We got to the hospital at 9am, ob broke my water at 9:20. Pitocin started shortly after. Contractions started 10:10. Started pushing about 11am. No tearing and baby and I got to come home today. :)

I went in at "one" centimeter and not effaced -- and I was told it was a generous one. Due to how little I was progressed I started with misoprostol instead of pitocin the night before at about 9pm. The first pill put me in labor. Epidural at 5am and baby at 250pm. All in all I was please with how this panned out. I didn't wind up getting pitcoin until like 10 or 11am the next morning.

with first one, induced at 38 weeks from low amniotic fluids...cervadil at 6p, pitocin at 3a, delivery at 6a. 12 hours total. with 2nd one, induced at 37 weeks from my skyrocketing blood pressure... pitocin started at 11:30a, delivery at 3p. 3 1/2 hours total with 2nd one. 2nd one practically shot out like cannon. i had some magazines for the 1st one to while some of the time, but most of it i just rest/relax. 2nd one, barely had time to do anything since she came so fast, but i made a few phone calls, and husband barely made it to the delivery room!!

we didn't have anything special that we had in our hospital bag, just the typical. hubby brought his laptop. hospital for our 2nd one, had on demand tv and movies which hubby got obsessed with, had to remind him we were there for me and the baby, not movies!! lolol.

good luck!! :)

I was induced for my first baby at 41 weeks. I had zero signs of labor...no contractions, no effacing, etc. Cervidil on Tues night, another dose the next morning, got contractions in the afternoon, started pushing for 3ish hours at midnight and I ended up with a C-section in the end.

Good luck! Hope you get to meet her tomorrow!

I had cervidil at 9pm or so. Then slept there overnight. That didn't do much for me.

Pitocin and breaking my water (I was about 75% effaced and maybe a fingertip dilated at this point) happened the next morning around 7:30am and she was delivered at 8:42pm. So about 13 hours from start to finish if you don't include the overnight (which was almost pointless but whatever).

She was my first baby, at 41 weeks. I just showed up at the time my OB's office told me to, but I think I called to confirm with them that day anyway.

I was set for an induction, but they kept pushing it back until I was admitted for high blood pressure. My Bishop score was already indicating early labor. I went into labor while waiting for them to get me a room, I'm pretty sure that getting checked got things rolling. He was born within about 4 hours of being admitted and most of it was just waiting and relaxing. They broke my water and he was out 15 minutes later.

My first happened on its own and took just under 8 hours with my water breaking to start it all.

I'm so excited for you! Can't wait for your new baby! I wish you everything as smooth and quick as my own "induction"!

I was admitted for low amniotic fluid at 38w 5d. They started cervadil at 5 am on Thursday and I had to have three rounds. They started Pitocin at 3am on Saturday and I was ready to push at 10:30am. LO was born at 11 am.

We took our iPad to watch movies on and my Kindle for when I was tired of that. Because I had been admitted for low amniotic fluid, I had to wear the fetal monitor the whole time and it would only pickup the heartbeat if I was lying flat, so I couldn't really do anything like cards where I would have needed to sit up.

I was induced at 37 weeks due to DS being an IUGR baby who quit growing at 32 weeks.

Admitted at 7am, started Pitocin after all the paperwork and inquiries, DS showed distress so we stopped. Waited for OB to break my water at 11:30am and re-started pitocin. Delivered DS at 6:19pm. I was 2cm dilated and 50% effaced when I was admitted.

I absolutely loved my induction experience!!

DH brought his blanket and pillows so he could be comfy, and we brought our laptop and phone chargers as well. We mainly watched TV and napped in between.

We also had a great induction!! After going into labor naturally with my first, we were induced a week early with my second due to GD (my doctor's policy, I was toooootally ok with it). I was admitted around 8am, had a bit of a wait, got into my labor room around 9:30-10am, got started with pitocin and ate a meal, and my daughter was born at 7:45pm!

I was 3cm dilated for weeks though!

ETA: I watched a couple of movies on netflix as I waited, until the pain got to be too much!

36 hours from being admitted to lo being born, but I was just over 37 weeks so I wasn't dilated at all and she hadn't dropped. I also was on pit 12 hours before an epidural-- i went from a 4-10 in 5 hrs after getting an epi! I wonder if it would have been faster if I got it sooner so that I'd relax. But, contractions were really only bad for a couple hours before the epi

Good luck!!!!
