The eye issue, coupled with my prenatal fluid issues (potential renal issues) and her heart murmur meant we had to spend a lot of time at the children's hospital having tests done! I've been reminded of that here a lot recently. A lady that I work with just lost her baby at 5 months old to a genetic disorder, and another co-worker had her baby early (30ish weeks) and she has a VERY long and difficult road ahead of her. Just to get from sperm and egg to a baby is a series of hurdles, like the hardest assault course ever. It makes me feel really stupid about complaining about the little things. My babies are so healthy, their biggest problem is being too fat for their clothes. </p> <p>I said it once, I'll say it a million and one times... a healthy baby is a miracle. I mean, all babies are miracles, of course, but to not have to worry about massive health problems is an incredible blessing. I'm a lucky, lucky momma. </p>
