It's just a little bit, but totally gross. The doctor said he should out grow it. It's on my list of things to talk about at our 18 month check up in March.</p> <p>We get whatever colored snot his snot is in his eye. He hasn't had an ear infection. She seemed ok but for the eye goop and a little bit of crust on her nose from an old cold. When we first went in for the initial ear infection a couple weeks ago, we had actually gone in because others in the family had the flu and she was exhibiting similar symptoms so the initial ear infection came as a shock. She had just finished 10 days of antibiotics so now we're starting 10 more days of a different antibiotic. My oldest seems to be prone to it this year. Bad when he wakes but after I really clean it up he is good the rest of the day. Only in one eye and my guess is it's the side he sleeps on. Always if his nose is even the tiniest bit runny. It’s all close enough together that the bacteria can spread. The runny nose usually follows within a couple days. I have never used any drops for it. The first night she woke up with enough gunk to glue the eye a little bit, but since then it hasn't been that bad, but I need to wipe little bits of goop every so often. She doesn't have a cold. No redness in the eyes. </p> <p>Has anyone experienced something like this? Did you need to use eye drops? Our pediatrician said to keep an eye on it and come in if it gets worse, and I'm really reluctant to go in if I don't need to and expose her to flu germs! </p>
