@knittylady: Bwahaha! I was thinking that too, but couldn't fathom how to work in a donkey, and then I Googled and saw this: https://www.pier1.com/topper-the-donkey-with-baskets-natural-decor/3208986.html

He's actually kinda cute! Maybe for the bookshelf? :silly:

ETA: And this lantern has an interesting shape: https://www.anthropologie.com/shop/nantucket-brass-lantern I like the pic with the moss/stones inside. I'd definitely use an LED "candle," though!

While I'm on the Anthro site, this lamp is pricey, but would be amazing: https://www.anthropologie.com/shop/sibley-floor-lamp

For less expensive mobile options, maybe try pinterest?

I've asked my sister (who does Stampin Up) to make a star one with glitter paper and a couple sized punches.

This one is really pretty! https://www.pinterest.com/pin/326581410465943707/

Or something like this https://www.pinterest.com/pin/519039925776587542/

@Meowkers: Ooh, I'd also get a lantern (or maybe some sort of lighted moon) and a little stuffed dog for the room as a nod to "Pyramus and Thisbe." Bonus points if you happen to have an exposed brick wall, although I think that might look strange with the Greek key pattern... :silly:

And I think one of those Renaissance fair-type flower garland crowns with ribbons hanging down would be a neat wall hanging if you can find one that coordinates with your mural.

Is her crib going in front of the feature wall? What color will the other walls be?

I feel like you could either take it toward pink and light green to make it more fairy/girly, or you could go with jewel tones (navy/emerald/plum) and make it a little more edgy. Either way, I'd probably do a lot of woodland green touches and try to incorporate gold accents and some stars/moons to bring in the night time/dreaming part. Maybe hang something like this:

Neat theme! I like that mural.

I might get this book and put some of the fairy pictures in frames (they'd be kind of little prints, but they'd work for a series and I doubt you'll find bigger versions): https://smile.amazon.com/Rackhams-Fairies-Elves-Goblins-Illustrations/dp/0486460231/ref=pd_sim_14_2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=D73FPHGBYCEAVT8FR0BN

Or maybe parts of this book (not AMND-related, but fairies and more "cutesy" than Rackham) would work: https://www.amazon.com/Complete-Book-Flower-Fairies/dp/0723248397/ref=pd_sim_14_9?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=9XKBH2WGK023FNM53VKY

There are a bunch of fairy-related things to check out here: http://www.magiccabin.com/shop-all-everything-fairies/shop-all-everything-fairies.htm

I'd probably do several things (like pillows or curtains or a rug) with a Greek key pattern or other nod to ancient Greece, too.

Oh, and I'd definitely put a "fairy door" somewhere in the room. :)

But I think I might reconsider the quote. I see it everywhere and it strikes me as odd in most of the girl-power contexts in which it's used. I mean, it's from a cat fight and is supposed to be a nasty insult, you know?

Currently decorating a nursery for DD2 (due in February). I've decided on a loose theme of A Midsummer Night's dream. One wall will be a floral mural (see picture). I'm also going to hang up a print of the famous quote from the play. Besides butterflies and woodland fairies what else do you imagine in a nursery like this? All inspiration is welcome.
