<description>&#60;p&#62;@BeachMama:  Yep. We did checks after the full interval of crying (so ten solid minutes, etc). If she calmed down and stopped crying, but started again, we restarted the timer.

<description>&#60;p&#62;We sort of just went with our gut on that. If it was on the 10 or 15 min check and she was only quiet for like A minute then we usually just kept the clock going. But if she was quiet for like 3 min we'd restart it. We also sort of went on what she needed/how she sounded. Our LO was not great at getting the paci in herself when we did sleep training so I erred on the side of going in so I could pop that back in. And also because our LO generally fell back to sleep right after a check. Later when we were having some sleep issues checks seemed to just piss our LO off more so we eased back on them unless we thought she had a real problem (like wanted to check to make sure she hadn't pooped, or if she threw her paci out of her crib).

&#60;p&#62;Let's say you set a timer for 5 minutes and LO is crying, calms down for a minute, then starts crying again, do you reset the timer when he calmed down?
