Are there hookups in the basement?<br /> 2. Do you already have machines that you could move with you, or are you buying either way?<br /> 3. How long until you could realistically convert the bathroom? </p> <p>If there are no hookups in the basement, then I would likely just use the current laundry space until I was ready to do the full bathroom/add hook-ups renovation. Would you be able to put one of those in? It makes so much of a difference. Otherwise, I would also not like the stacked w/d in a bathroom. I did have that when I lived in my condo but it wasn't bad b/c it was only me. There is no hook up in the basement, only first floor? Do they have to be small stacking machines? In our old condo we had a laundry closet that was a bit too narrow for normal size stacking ones and when we replaced we had to pay more for a smaller machine which was super annoying (because it was a special size). It is a small older home with 3 bed and 1.5 bath. It is a flip and the contractor made a tiny laundry room in front of the half bath. Since it is so tiny you can only fit stacking laundry in there. I hate stacked laundry and I especially hate front loaders. I know, first world problems. So.... we are debating moving the laundry down to the basement (partially finished and looks pretty nice) so I can get some giant top loaders. In the long term we would put a shower where the original laundry is but use as storage in the meantime. I think 2 full baths would help if we ever needed to sell it in the future. While my husband is willing to move it he also thinks I'm being a little extra and thinks the current set up will be fine. What do you think? </p>
