She was not allowed to breastfeed or hold her child for 3 days while she and her newborn submitted to repeat testing. They finally allowed her to go home with her baby after apologizing (not all that nicely). Her baby never took to breastfeeding. She was devastated. </p> <p>I don't know what happened to the actually-high-on-opiods mother and her baby. I hope the baby is safe and healthy. </p> <p>I cannot even imagine going through that.
