Aww man, and I thought a bad poopy diaper after diapering him was tough. The changing table is lava these days, full on tantrums to change him. After the screaming and poop, I wanted a drink by the time I got to work. LO is fussy and clingy these days. Hoping it's teeth because my dude isn't fun these days!

@grizz: I hope it does too. I feel a little guilty that he had it for a week before I called, but his pedi told me I did all of the things they'd suggest I try before they saw him (and we were in a different state). E conked out for a nap as soon I brought him in, and is still out. I should probably wake him up soon, as his bedtime is usually in 35 minutes, but he wakes up too early for us and I've been thinking about pushing his bedtime back to see if he'll sleep in later (which works better with DH's work schedule--I'm sacrificing some alone time in the evening but hopefully gaining more sleep...)

And yeah, people here (and everywhere) need to butt out.

@dagret: The weather was just stupid today! When I left I was actually made a mental note to water our vegetables when we got back because they were looking wilty from the sun/heat!

@cheert16: I never do it to myself, but DH has given me time-outs before. I usually just go lay in bed and read, lol.

@jmarionsmith: Oh poor baby! I'll let you in on a secret--I hate exercising. Like, a lot. Before I got pregnant I stayed thin by walking EVERYWHERE (much easier when I lived in a bigger city!). So for now (until I work up the motivation to start the 30DS again) I get my exercise from walking as much as I can. And I usually enjoy walking--just not so much today, lol. Plus, with only one car, if I didn't walk I'd be stuck at home way too much, and go batty.

Aww, poor E! I hope that infection clears up quick. As for the rain, why can't people mind their own business when it comes to babies and toddlers? I will never understand! I hope you're both having a better night!

Oh no! The weather was ridiculous today. Bright out, pouring, repeat, repeat, repeat. As soon as I saw this thread I thought, poor @futuremrsmck got rained on again. I hope the rest of your week is better!

I totally flaked on a conference call for work today. F Mondays.

I could probably make 3 different posts, but whatever.

So E has had what looks like...a tiny, shiny bright red crater on his bum (about the size of a pencil eraser) for the past week or so. We tried giving him tons of diaper-less time, baking soda in the bath, a couple different creams, and nothing happened, except that today he had a bigger rash on his bum. We've been on vacation, so I called his pedi today and they had me bring him in to look at it.

I texted DH to let him know I was going in, and he offered to come home from work to drive us (we're a one-car family at the moment) but it was sunny out, if a bit warm, so I said we were fine to walk (it's only about a mile and a half). Halfway there it starts to pour, so I walked in dripping (E was almost completely covered).

His pedi was running behind (although I'm glad she was able to see us on such short notice at all) and between the waiting room and the exam room my very over-tired, cranky baby and I waited for nearly an hour. Unusual for our office, so no big. She diagnoses it as a yeast infection (with the "crater" part being the worst) and calls in a scrip for Ketoconazole cream. The nearest CVS is a mile away, but it had stopped raining and was just gross humid.

So off we went. While we were waiting in line at the pharmacy I peeked in E's mouth (he let me for once) and noticed 3 new teeth, and the white cap under the skin of a 4th! (I'm fairly certain they're his canines). YAY! He's been pretty miserable the past few weeks so we've been hoping they'd come through soon!! PS my 11.5 month old now has 11, almost 12 teeth!

And finally, the grouch. After we left CVS we had to walk 2 miles home, and it started POURING again. I could have called DH but I would have been home in the time it took him to get to me, it's his first day back at work in over a week, and Mondays are SUPER busy. And it wasn't thunder-stormy (totally a word, yes), so I didn't mind just walking in the rain.

But apparently everyone else did. I got a ton of glares from people and a few people stopped (when we were under an awning) to inform me that I was going to give my baby pneumonia. Seriously guys? You really think I'm doing this for funsies? And even if I was, so what? It's 75 out, not 50. It's a warm rain. I'M the one of us getting soaked, E was covered by the canopy except for the very ends of his feet, and those he'd even pulled up. And by that point he was zonked out because he'd been up for so long--doesn't seem to be bothering him that much!

Anyway, that's been my Monday so far. How is everyone else doing today??
