Maybe I'm just being overly cynical since reading the recent article about how they've finally decided to cut ties with coca cola who has given them millions of dollars because it no longer aligns with their mission (duh?!) But, I can't help but think who is sponsoring them now that influenced this change? But yeah, I agree that quality screen time in moderation is just fine. I honestly get a twinge of guilt every single time she has screen time. So, while this was probably not their intention, I feel better about it now. It was a good reminder to not just use media as a babysitter and to engage with her. As an early childhood educator, in almost every class, workshop, training, etc. we were reminded how important it is to be engaged with young children and talk all the time. I'm convinced that my son was an early talker and has a huge vocabulary at 22 months because my mom (who was our primary childcare for a long time) talks nonstop. It drives me crazy sometimes, but apparently he was soaking it all up.</p> <p>Also, we FaceTime DH's parents almost every night. The toddler and the grandparents look forward to it!
