I'm not sure which hospital you're delivering at, but the one I was at around here gave me one. I used it for a week or two maybe. I really liked it while I was in the hospital.

I won one on Hellobee. I wore it a bit postpartum with a vaginal delivery. It was alright. This pregnancy, I got stretched out more, so I still have some tummy action almost 7 months later.

I had two c-sections and was given one in the hospital both times. The nurses put it on in the OR post surgery. AMAZING! The first time I probably wore it close to six weeks (bought a second one on Amazon). The second time I probably wore it about three weeks.

I had a c section, and had one but never really used it. I found it too uncomfortable between my scar and having a newborn nursing on me 24/7. It appears I'm in the minority though! for what it's worth, I didn't need it at all, my recovery was pretty easy!

YES so necessary. The hospital gave me mine, it was just an elastic band, but man it was a lifesaver, I wore that thing 23 hours a day for 2+ weeks and then another couple weeks after that off and on.

My first was an unscheduled C-section (had to recover from both types) and the second was planned, it wasn't as hard to recover from.

I had a c section but didn't wear one. It wasn't offered and honestly I hadn't heard of it until recently. My recovery was super quick and easy, despite having a NICU baby so I doubt I would be worn one even if I had the option. For your planned c-section, you may have a super easy recovery too! I've heard from moms who didn't labor first, that their recoveries were faster and easier than those who labored first.

I didn't have a c-section, but bought one. Not sure if it's because of the one I bought or what not, but it wasn't comfortable if I was sitting down. Only when I was standing or laying down. After a few hours here and there, I gave up after a week of wearing it.

I bought a fancy one before giving birth and I hated it. I ended up using the hospital issued one and I really liked it. I started wearing it the day after I gave birth and wore it for probably close to 8 weeks. I loved how supported I felt.

* I did not have a c-section.

I've gotten them from the hospital both times and worn them from day 2 postpartum until like a month after. This time, the nurse gave me 2 sizes which was nice because I could use the bigger one right away and move to the smaller one after the pooch had gone down.

My mom bought me one from Motherhood about 2 weeks after birth - hospital didn't give me one - and it was amazing!!!!! I wore it for about 6 weeks.

With #2 also a c/s I wore it right away! It makes a huge difference if you had a c/s!

Our hospital gives them out standard-issue after a C-section. I wore it all the time for about a month after, maybe more. Definitely wear one the first few weeks to help "hold everything in" and help reduce pain from movement!

I did not have a c-section.

I did wear a belly binder though. I bought mine from a local boutique. I think it really helped with the whole "falling out the front" feeling I got after having H. I think our hospital gives you one if you ask for it after a c-section.

Good luck with your birth!

Did you use one, especially if you had a c-section? If so, what kind and for how long? When did you start wearing it? Did you have to buy one or did your hospital provide it?
