The nurses put it on in the OR post surgery. AMAZING! The first time I probably wore it close to six weeks (bought a second one on Amazon). I found it too uncomfortable between my scar and having a newborn nursing on me 24/7. It wasn't offered and honestly I hadn't heard of it until recently. My recovery was super quick and easy, despite having a NICU baby so I doubt I would be worn one even if I had the option. For your planned c-section, you may have a super easy recovery too! Not sure if it's because of the one I bought or what not, but it wasn't comfortable if I was sitting down. Only when I was standing or laying down. I wore it all the time for about a month after, maybe more. I bought mine from a local boutique. I think it really helped with the whole "falling out the front" feeling I got after having H.
