We also sometimes use Thoughts to Make Your Heart Sing for our family devotions (same author as the Jesus Storybook Bible), but some of the entries are a bit questionable. We really like it. It comes with a DVD (haven't watched yet - LO is too little). Lots of our friends have this one, and it's pretty sound.</p> <p>ETA - I like it because it brings each story back to the reason Jesus came into the world. I was looking at some books at the store and I wasn't impressed with the versions of the stories in them. Like instead of saying Jesus died, they said He was "hurt" and then "gone". Many of the other stories were reworked and with a lot of inaccuracies added. I'm assuming this was done to try and "soften" Bible stories for young children, but I'd like to teach my baby scripture accurately from the start without too much sugar coating.</p> <p>Any suggestions for first Bible books that are very true to scripture? I'm really just looking for a paraphrase of the Bible account, written in simple language, with pictures lol.</p> <p>Alternatively, anyone know of any baby Bible books that are only pictures? </p>
