I always have random pains! I have had mastitis once so ever since then I'm always like "boob pain. MASTITIS!" but Wagon Sr. has to remind me that I always have random pains and it doesn't necessarily mean mastitis.

Sometimes I think I do have a clog somewhere but I'm religious about pumping so I'll know if I have low output. Then I feel silly for worrying because obviously the milk is flowing just fine. So yeah, whenever I have random pains I'll just pump and make sure the output looks ok.

I get a stabbing/shooting pain every once in awhile. Usually in my left breast. I was always paranoid it was a clogged duct or thrush or something. But it would seem to go away after a day or two. Still have no clue what it is. So maybe it's nothing? Maybe try some massaging in the shower. Is it feeling better or worse now?

I've had that off and on...usually it's kind of like a plugged duct, but a larger area that's just really firm. Every once in awhile I pump a little longer and do a lot of compressions to make sure I fully empty.

@MamaJ: it totally could. It's more on my left and I favor that side. I've also been fighting some overnight engoregement since my 8 week old has started to sleep longer stretches. I think that is starting to regulate thank goodness

Hmm. The other night I slept on one side for a really long time and that boob ached pretty badly all day then it was gone the next day. Could it be something like that? But if both of them hurt I'm not sure..

My boob hurts. Kind of a dull ache :( nothing too bad but definitely noticeable. I don't have cracked nipples, my baby has no white spots in his mouth , its not a shooting pain , and is more on the outer sides. No nipple pain ???? So I don't think it's thrush.

I recently started running again . Maybe it's just sore from jiggling ? Occasionally I feel it in the right side ad well. I need new sports bras badly !

Did anyone have an unexplained achy boob during bf ???
