@MrsADS: I totally understand. Just yesterday I was examining my forehead and thinking it was finally clearing up--and then this morning (just 12 hours later!) I woke up with at least 30 teensy zits all over my forehead. WTH!? I don't use ANY product in my hair, so it isn't that...and they came out of nowhere. It sucks so much. effing hormones!

I have ALWAYS had crappy skin. 1st tri it seemed about stable/normal for me. But now (I'm 16 weeks), it's horrible. My acne was always just on my face, but now I have HORRENDOUS back acne. Like, not just small pimples, but big, deep ones that pop (sorry, I know that's nasty).

I don't really know what to do. After I rinse the conditioner out of my hair, I hold up my hair and wash off my back and neck really well with Dial sop (something kind of drying). Then, after my shower, I put benzoyl peroxide on my back. Doesn't really seem to be helping.

So, I don't know what the solution is. It sucks

My acne kicked in during pregnancy and then in to high gear after delivery. I was hoping it would improve, but it just got way worse. I've just given up treatments and only use a gentle cleanser once a day. Hoping for a change soon!

@Anagram: I'm not sure which one I have. I got it like 3 years ago. I know it has one speed and the head pops on and off so you can replace the head or use a special "acne" brush.

Mine has been bad, but it is starting to clear up. Face and back both. The clairsonic brush us great, but I just use an exfoliating face scrub and it has been working. Get a good oil free moisturizer too! And if all else fails, getting a facial might be the magic bullet you need. Super relaxing too! I treated myself to 2 if them in the first trimester.

I had a similar experience to @oliviaoblivia; my acne with LO1 was totally hormonal--and it was like you describe, just a ton of little white heads popping up in weird places--for me it was on my neck (?!) and along my jawline, and my chest. It was so awful. Unfortunately, nothing truly helped it go away. I used benzyol peroxide sparingly, and I also use Belli spot treatment, and burt's bee's spot treatment. It really only started to clear up after delivery. :(

@Anagram: My skin was not good during my pregnancy (and after, until I weaned) - I'd suggest seeing a dermatologist, they may be able to prescribe better stuff than you can get OTC, and will know what's safe for pregnancy. Check with your OB too - I think mine told me not to use salicylic acid, something about vitamin A being absorbed through the skin maybe?

I tried this "natural" remedy - mix honey with enough cinnamon to make a paste. Apply as a mask, leave it on for 20 minutes, then rinse it off. I've only used it a few times, but I've noticed a difference. As a bonus, I feel safe using it on breakouts around my mouth.

I would go out and buy a clairsonic facial brush right now and start using it ASAP. Also, buy one of those metal pimple popper things from Sephora. You don't poke your face with a lancet or anything but mine has metal loops that you can but over a black or whitehead and push down on to help force it out.

@Anagram: it sounds like a clarisonic would work great for you. I had terrible pregnancy acne this time, but mine were the deep painful ones and the only thing that helped was benzoyl peroxide gel. It has finally cleared now without the gel.

@oliviaoblivia: nooooo.....I'm hoping for a magic bullet that will work in two weeks time, haha. But seriously....I sure hope the makeup artist doing our makeup for the wedding has some good concealer. Cause I'm going to need it.

I've never had a problem with my skin. It was beautiful during my first pregnancy and then boom second pregnancy acne. I tried a whole bunch of OTC remedies that didn't work and gave up. Cleared up immediately after delivery. Sucks.

@BabyBoecksMom: I think my husband has some acne face wash at home. Normally, I find that washing my whole face with that kind of thing is too drying, but maybe I should try it and then moisturize really well afterward?

It's so gross.

I had bad breakouts, little white and blackheads, and also super flaky skin. The only thing that's helped me recently is the clarisonic brush thing. At first I thought I hated it, but after a week of use, my skin looks SO much better and no more flakes.

I've always had very dry skin naturally, and as a result never have had much of a problem with acne--not in my teens, not with my first pregnancy--until now. SAD FACE.

I am having major, major breakouts daily--and it's everywhere. They aren't the huge deep zits that I remember from my teen years. They are very on-the-surface tiny white heads that literally pop up overnight. But the problem is, there are SO MANY. I might literally have 15-20 a day.

In the first trimester, I was just washing my face and hoping for the best. Which obviously didn't work. This trimester, I've been spot treating with minimal amounts of salicyclic acid acne treatments, and it kind of works on existing pimples, but isn't really preventing more.

I know it's hormonal, but what else can I do? It's so weird where it happens too....right below each corner of my mouth (kind of either side of my upper chin), and then right above my eyebrows. SO ODD.

What else can I do? I'm a bridesmaid in a wedding in two weeks and I'm totally embarrassed at the state of my skin. Meanwhile, my skin is still dry and even peeling in some areas since it's winter. Just awful all around.
