We moved DD out of her crib around 2 years (she's now 3). Bedtime still takes forever with her, she does get up multiple times and claim she "CAN'T sleep", needs water, has to pee, etc. But a lot of the time she will "read" in her bed on her own, I often have to get 20 books out when I go tuck her in. I think some kids are just good sleepers and some aren't. For me, getting her out of the crib was for safety since she was starting to try and climb out. More often than not we end up frustrated with her at bedtime, and threaten to close the door, etc. and there is crying involved. So I don't really have any tips.... :silly:

So, my almost 2.5 year old is getting closer and closer to climbing out of her crib. And I cannot imagine moving her to a bed, because I can't fathom how she's ever going to stay in it. Currently it takes her an hour to settle down to sleep - she plays with stuffed animals, "reads" books (in the dark), walks around, you name it. Without the confinement of the crib, I am having visions of us constantly having to bring her back, settling her down, etc. Has anyone delt with something similar? Any thoughts or tips?
