@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: @Alexandra603: If you decide to do an activity that could be messy/dirty, e.g., planting, painting, etc., please disclose that on the invitation. I took my LO to a 3 year old party where the activity was painting a child-size house (it was big enough for 2 kiddos to be inside at the same time--and yep, the kiddos wanted to paint the inside, too). Because I was unaware of the activity, my LO was decked out in Mini Boden. I still let her paint, of course, but I was annoyed that the parents didn't give anyone a heads up (or at least have shirts/smocks for the kids to wear--it wasn't a big party).

If you have the space for it, I'd bring out some sidewalk chalk and let them go to town with it. That and maybe a bubble machine.

If you cut out some paper or cardboard crowns you could have supplies for decorating them. I recently went to a 3 year old's birthday party where they had a cupcake decorating station, which was a huge hit. Pin the dot on the ladybug, maybe with black stickers? I'm trying to think of things that Peppa liked - jumping up and down in muddy puddles isn't very party-friendly but if you had crowns and got wands they could all be fairy princesses.

Maybe a bouncy castle or a water table if the weather is going to be nice? An assortment of outside bikes / scooters might work too. Honestly though, when my girl turned three she still wasn't that interested in party games and was just happy to be playing with her friends and the toys!

Planning my daughters 3rd birthday. We are going to have it at our home - hopefully the weather will be good enough that we can be outside but that's no guarantee in early June in Seattle. Any ideas for simple activities or games? I don't think I'm going to have a theme beyond just incorporating some of her favorite things - pink, peppa pig, princesses and ladybugs :)
