At first it's just for your benefit, but I think it's really valuable. I started going to the library story hour when mine was just a few months old, and the science museum (with an awesome kids playground) when she was old enough to start grabbing at things. We will be starting a baby Picasso (art) class next week and he is 8 months old. We also frequently go to baby &amp; me drop-ins where you just bring your LO into a centre and they get to play with toys and other babies. The drop-ins are more appropriate (or at least entertaining) when your LO can sit unassisted.</p> <p>ETA: my friend who has a LO close in age also does kindermusik and baby Zumba. I'm getting excited thinking about the activities I might be able to do with her once she's alert and taking the world in a little more. I've found some things like weekly story time at the library and structured swim times for parents and kids as young as 3 - 6 months. I'm curious, do you/did you engage in any structured activities like this during the first year? What did you do? Thanks! </p>
