I started every-other week treatments and was pregnant 3 months later. I really think it helped by regulating my cycles. I also credit it to warding off morning sickness and nausea. </p> <p>I'm deathly afraid of needles and the idea of lying on a bed with numerous needles was not my idea of fun, but that's how convinced I was that acupuncture was worth pursuing. </p> <p>I should add, however, that it did nothing when I went in for treatments in an effort to induce labor. I had 3 treatments (at every other day intervals) at 41 weeks and nada. </p> <p>That said, I'm still a big believer in it. I paid around $85 each time including tip for one session the day before transfer, one the day of (later that day). But I did community acupuncture for months leading up to my IVF cycle. She recommended that we not try for the next three months while I have weekly appointments and take some other herbs. The three month period is supposed to repair/heal my body. I got pregnant in September and I'm still pregnant (about 9 1/2 weeks) with a good ultrasound last week at 8 weeks 6 days which I never had before.
