I went to see a practitioner to wean me off of a steroid inhaler after a serious lung illness and to regulate my digestion. The guy was amazing.

I saw a physical therapist for my sciatica (was caused by SI joint issues) and an acupuncturist when I started having referred neck pain that felt like sinus pressure. Once I hadn't had symptoms for a while, I started working with a personal trainer once a week to work on my core weakness. Haven't had problems in months.

@Foodnerd81: Ok I'll definitely give it a shot. I'm also between rounds of IVF so I'll have to check with my RE that it's ok (I'm sure it is but want to be sure).
I've only worked with a physical therapist for my hips. I have hip dysplasia which has led to a surgery and chronic hip pain. Jeeze I sound like a disaster. Haha. I'm a fit 35 year old but I sound like a decrepit senior citizen. Maybe that's why my ovaries suck 😂

Yes, it can be so helpful. I had a lot of back pain with my last pregnancy and it was great.

@SweetiePie: I bet it would help! It felt so good when I did it. Have you also seen a physical therapist?

Prepregnancy I saw an acupuncturist for upper back and neck pain and headaches and it helped a ton. But the thing that helped the longest was an awesome physical therapist. I had previously seen PTs and they were just ok, but finding a good one was a game changer.

@SweetiePie: I had it on my lower back with the electrodes. It was great but I never found the effects that long lasting. I finally solved my lower back pain with some pelvic floor physio. Have you tried physio?

Yep. After IF and after I had the twins, I continued it for my wrist pain. I had leg/ankle pain during IF and accupunture helped it.

I have a constantly painful back. I get massages weekly, I can't go more than 2 weeks or else I am rendered useless. It even hurts to breath. It's mostly just super ridiculously tight muscles (I am so tight and tense and knotty) but I also have some sciatica that flares up occasionally (I'm told that's because of muscle tightness). I used to get spasms in my neck and took muscle relaxers for that. I stopped when I got pregnant and fortunately my neck pain is manageable now. My back is way worse. Maybe it's actually spasms and I need the relaxers. I'll ask my orthopaedic surgeon I guess.

I'm wondering if I should try something else like acupuncture since the massage place I go to offers it as well. Any success for aches and pains?
