@Thehistoryofus: Yeah, that's the thing I run into-- headaches suck, feeling guilty over whether I NEED to take something or not also sucks. If I wake up with a headache again tomorrow, I'll definitely do the sudafed. I just keep hoping something natural will be a magic cure. Which I've been hoping for for years.

It's good to hear that the sudafed worked better during pregnancy though. Gives me a little hope.

No experience with acupuncture, but I did see a chiropractic neurology practice (not a normal chiropractor, one with neurological training) which drastically improved both my headaches, and oddly enough; my allergies. I know the practice I went to specializes in treating headaches, especially migraines. Maybe there is one in your area that could help?

@Foodnerd81: I would look at taking it on a daily basis for a week or two and see if it helps. On days that I knew would be troublesome (outside or change in temps) I would also take a sudafed. For some reason I never really liked claritin pre-pregnancy either but it REALLY helped when I was pregnant. There are also different kinds of allergy/sinus meds you can try that all work a bit differently.

I don't want to sound like I am all about taking meds while pregnant, but it got to be really bad for me and I didnt' really have a choice.

@Thehistoryofus: I've tried doing the Claritin in the past (pre-pregnancy) and it helped some, but didn't get rid of the sinus headaches altogether. But you are right-- they are sinus headaches, sometimes migraines.

No experience with acupuncture but during pregnancy I had bad sinus headaches (migraines) and I resorted to taking daily Claritin and surfaced on days I was outside. As long as I took it daily I didn't have these headaches.

Has anyone done acupuncture to relieve headaches? Was it successful? How long did it take to improve your headaches, and how long did it last?

I had my second treatment last night, and honestly, I just don't know if it is helping at all. My headaches have gotten worse and more frequent since being pregnant-- though possibly it only seems that way since I'm not taking anything for them? They are definitely triggered by changes in weather, and since it went from dry and freezing to rain and 50 degrees practically overnight, I'm not surprised my head feels like it's shrinking into my brain, but still.

Any experiences with acupuncture working? Any suggestions for what would make this headache better now, at work, when I still have a bunch of stuff to do on the computer before I can go home and lay down in the dark? Anyone want to pick up groceries for me, since I have no food and don't want to stop today??
