I did wind up trying it at a place that specializes in Fertility. I am still out on what I think. Everyone I know says that acupuncture helps them relax, and while I did not feel the needles, I did not feel relaxed either! I definitely want to give it another try though. I was excited because they did look at my charts and point out what they want to try and do, and talked about timing the acupuncture with my iuis. For my first visit, I was nervous too, but a friend had recommended him (and got pregnant b/c of him!). For the first visit, it was all talking, so I got a great "feeling" about my guy, he was warm and friendly and answered all of my questions. I think that is pretty important, to just feel comfortable with him. As for my first treatment... I really didn't feel the needles at all (I'm not scared of them either). During the treatment though, I kind of feel waves of energy and it is so relaxing. I called a couple and the fertility one actually wound up being the same price (or a tad cheaper) than the general one that was closer. But, I will say that I think if you go to a general one, they will know about "fertility acupuncture" also. It may even cost less to go to a general than a specialized one. But I am not speaking from experience!
