@kml636: your last sentence sums up my parenting experience haha! I've been reticent to start dinner bc it'll cut into DHs playtime since LO starts bath at 530, but I might next week. O course after I posted this and Stayed up until 11 he only woke once at 2. Babies!!

Although it goes against the advice in every nursing book, I heard lots of advice on giving her a big "dinner" to get her to sleep. It seems to work if I spoon feed her rice cereal and something else around 5. Try it? Like everything else, could also be a coincidence.

@hilsy85: Another thing I kinda thought ended after the early days... but would make sense! If it is, I hope I don't end up having to buy yet another size of summer clothes

I would guess coincidence...maybe a growth spurt? Which might explain his increased interest in solids as well?

@NovBaby1112: Interesting.. I had stopped paying attention to wonder weeks after the early days! And you're so right.. I'm pretty sure I said as much a few weeks ago haha. I think I'm going to just roll with it for a while longer and hope it goes away naturally!

hmmm that's strange...I don't think they are related though. My LO started waking up twice a night right around that time too but I chalked it up to wonder week 37 (it starts as early as 32 weeks and lasts a few weeks). She is now back down to 1 night feed. I think it lasted about a week for us? I'm at the point where I have just stopped trying to figure out her sleep lol, it seems like it is always something! Once we have a good routine/sleep down, something always comes up and disrupts it! Hopefully he will drop that 2nd feed soon though- I would give it a week and then maybe see if you can try a gentle weaning method instead...

We give breakfast and dinner and nurse around 2/3 times after midnight. But her sleep was crappy anyway so not sure it was related to solids

LO is 7.5 months and had been EBF. At 7 months he started to show more interest in eating solids, and this past week I added on a breakfast meal (to his pre-existing lunch). Concurrently, he has been waking up around 11 and then again around 2 and insisting he needs to eat. Nothing else has changed except adding the second meal of solids.

Is this just coincidence? Has anyone else had this happen?? He normally nursed once at night around 2ish and then was fine. When I just soothe him and put him back in sleepy around 11, he falls asleep and wakes back up in 30 minutes. He isn't nursing to sleep - he goes back in sleepy but awake.

Thoughts??
