I think as long as they are full-term, you don't use an adjusted age. Babies all learn at their own pace! He'll get it eventually!

My LO was born about that early, too. We've never referred to an adjusted age and neither has his doctor. Babies reach milestones at different ages, whether they are preemies, born early, or born late so I wouldn't be too concerned. My LO has also reached milestones at different times. With crawling, I think he was around the "norm" but he didn't walk until 14 months, so people have told me that they feel he was slower, especially ones who had babies walking at 9 months. I actually don't mind when he's slower at reaching some milestones, e.g. walking because he gets to be my baby a little longer. :) Don't worry, he'll get there before you know it!

I know preemie babies are often referred to by their adjusted age. What about babies that are born full term but before their due date? DS was born 10 days early. It's not a big deal, but es 7.5 weeks and not smiling though he does coo and is much more alert, but this got me wondering about adjusted ages.
