I had several books that weren't related to faith. I am out of town this week but when I get home I will look at the titles. I think I had one called the complete guide to adoption (again I will double check that). Then I had one about transracial adoption. I think one was called 20 things your adopted kid wants you to know. I get back home Tuesday so I will look then.

Anyone else have any suggestions?

I will mention that I don't mind bloggers that are religious, but I don't care for blogs that highlight it in every blog post.

Oh right Mrs. Jacks too! Sorry for some reason Mrs. Paintbrush stuck out more in mind when I read this. :) Both are great!

@Raindrop: Thanks for your response! I should have mentioned that I always read the hellobee blog and pay particular attention to all the moms that have adopted!

And @Mrs. Jacks, I love all your blog posts and find them really helpful! I am so happy you blog here. I would love some links :)

@TemperanceBrennan: our adoption was not motivated by infertility nor are we religious. It sucks that there aren't more resources for people like us, and that's exactly why I decided to blog here. I found the adoption guide to be very neutral. I also have some other adoptive friends who are not particularly religious and I could see if I can find links to their blogs :)

I believe Mrs. Paintbrush is what you are looking for.

http://www.hellobee.com/author/mrs-paintbrush/

"Our plan has always been to grow our family through adoption. After several years of “Mr. & Mrs.” we started the process for our first child."

From http://www.hellobee.com/2012/11/09/why-hello-there/

Though I'm not sure how religious she is. :)

We are preparing to pursue adoption in the next year or so and I'm trying to read as much as I can - books, articles, blogs, etc. I really enjoy reading every perspective I can, but it seems that our situation is rather unusual - or rather, not a focus of most resources I have found.

Adoption has always been part of our plan to grow our family. We are not religious.
We do not have any infertility issues.

I love reading Rage Against the Minivan. I have several books borrowed from the library but haven't gotten to most of them yet.

Does anyone have any recommendations?
