Either one can review your concerns and make a treatment plan based on that, a licensed practitioner in either field is qualified to make an Autism Spectrum diagnosis. I think a psychiatrist would be able to diagnose you. I know someone who recently received an autism diagnosis that way. I would be interested in getting formally diagnosed, but it is cost prohibitive right now ($1200 for the place I contacted).</p> <p>Has anyone pursued an adult diagnosis of autism or had a spouse or close family member who did? Has anyone had luck getting the test covered by health insurance? </p>
